If you missed the Design Your Year Event or want to continue the life awakening journey you entered at the event, well I’ve got a treat for you. There is still time to usher in 2015 fully charged and ready to transform your life. Join me on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, 6:30pm at Tournesol, a fresh new concept in integrative health located at 26 East 36th St., New York, NY 10016. I will be facilitating a live one-hour workshop to help you feel present, focused, and proud of everything in your past that has led you to this precious learning moment you have to design today. In this week's Sun-day design I want you to rewrite the story of who you are by sharing your life from a position of victor and no longer victim. The way we tell our story will determine how we continue to experience not only the event or situation, it holds true for how we view the full spectrum of our lives. Think about how awesome it would be to respond to the question how are you doing with something other than the typical “I’ve been busy”, “Times are tough” or “I’m hanging in there”! To truly offer a dialogue around how great you're feeling, the wonderful people in your life, and the perfect activities you're engaged in that move you forward on your purposeful path. I want you to changes the lens in which you look at your life so that you can in fact, change your life story. In this brief interactive coaching workshop learn how to connect and tell the story of your life from a place of power and purpose. Shift your mindset, language, and behavior to advance your life dreams. In the words of the great Buddha, and I'm sure so many others, "What you think you become." So let's think of a story that's great. Click here to register for the "Change Your Life Story" workshop. During your visit learn more about Tournesol and the wonderful classes in meditation, yoga, energy healing and so much more! For many people the holiday season marks a time of celebration and playful abandonment where we let go of our fitness, food, and financial commitments without a care in the world. It's time to kick off this holiday season with a solid plan. Your plan can allow you to indulge in the seasonal foods you crave and still maintain a balanced approach to diet and exercise. In this week's Sun-Day Design I want you to click here and take a listen to my talk with fitness expert and coach Bayo Olorunto on how you can establish "Physical and Mental Holiday Harmony". You'll gain tips for how to design your Holiday Hot Body through mindful practice, fitness, coaching, and savvy planning. Follow the audio as a guide to create your holiday health and wellness plan. Don't forget you can use this time to empower and energize all areas of your life at the Design Your Year Event, Saturday, December 13, 2014. Click here to register for your seat now. How great would it be for you to design your own happy paradise - a place where you can go to recharge, build your resiliency, feel loved and appreciated all in the blink of an eye? As you imagine this place do you smell the salt water and can you feel the ocean breeze caress your skin? Or maybe your happy place is filled with snow, mountains, and ice. Wherever the place you image you can experience that feeling happy without spending a dime! I have three happy places - home, U.S. bound, and across the globe, which is the equivalent to “break this glass and save everyone now!” My at home happy place is my music. I have a supply of songs and favorite artists who can transport me to a place of comfort, safety, and reprieve. I start my day to music (and of course seeing my son off to school makes my heart happy too). My at home happy place takes care of my mind. As stress, family and work priorities increase I need to visit my other happy places to reconnect with what matters most in my life. In this week’s Sun-day design I want you to create your happy place for three destinations each supporting different intensity levels in your life. You can continue to create your happy, purposeful, and success-filled place at the Design Your Year event on Saturday, December 13, 2014! Click here for more information. The clue for creating your alternate happy places is the more support you need the deeper you go within yourself to find it. Where’s the beach and sunshine in that? Well, the brightest light you’ll find is the one shining within you. When I’m craving my U.S. bound happy place which sounds like, “I need a vacation” it means I need to find a way to unblock my energy because there’s a cloud hovering over my inner light. To lift that weight I’ll go have a massage, journal my thoughts, and examine ways my daily habits and practices are out of alignment with my dreams. I recreate my happy place by taking care of my body. If I’ve attempted to take care of my mind and my body and theirs still some unresolved yearning to feel happy then the global destination is to the spirit within. Oh don’t get me wrong, a trip with a guru to the Himalayas would be great too, and in lieu of that excursion, I have my practices in yoga, mediation, and sitting in silence. It’s time to reestablish my sense of purpose. Your happy place is yours to design each day. Create a variety of practices at your disposal that are a happy place for your mind, body and spirit. Leave a comment and share what you do and the places you go to feel happy. I love my work in helping clients design their dreams! I've used techniques to help them get clear and feel alive creating vision boards to manifest their life goals and inspiring action for when the road ahead gets tough. I want to share this transformative experience with a community of "loving your life designers". Before the holiday season officially begins, give yourself the gift of designing your next year. My birthday celebration culminated with my attending Oprah's The Life You Want Weekend. Of all the wonderful experiences I had one of the biggest gifts I left with was a reminder that you have to put in the work, spend the time, and your own mental, physical, and spiritual energy to achieve your dreams. This is a process none of us gets to skip over. As I reflect on this year, building my business, expanding my career, being a mother, partner, and better friend, each situation takes some level of risk, an ounce of faith, and a huge dose of self-awareness. In this week's Sun-day design I want you to get clear on just what it is you're willing to risk in order to live out your dreams. What will it take for your to be about it and not just dream about it? The first step is simple you have to clear up space. Like ordering a new piece of furniture you may have to get rid of what’s in the house to make sure your new additions fit in. This means you have to find at least the one thing or one person you’re wiling to release from your life. As much as you’ve loved that favorite thing it is no longer part of the vision you hold for your life. This may be a small risk to take if it’s a matter of reallocating your time or a huge risk if it means saying farewell to someone you love. It's a risk either way because you don’t know for certain what’s on the other side. Taking a risk requires faith, commitment, and self-assurance. If I were to tell you the ratio of risk will reflect your percentage of reward, then how much would you be willing to put on the table? This year has required me to be brave, to take lots of risks and I’m happy to say I am reaping the benefits. How do I know, well - you're reading this blog is a reflection of the love, time, and energy I pour into my business and our connection is a reflection of that reward. |
